Dilled Oyster Crackers

Posted on July 10, 2007. Filed under: appetizers, snacks |

I’ve actually only made these once, for a housewarming party where I proceeded to be the only one who ate them.  This has nothing to do with how good they are, though – I think everyone else was distracted by the host’s chicken wings.  It’s also a good summer snack because it involves no cooking whatsoever.  It doesn’t even involve any chopping.

Clearly, this is the perfect food.

1 cup oil (probably okay to reduce this to 3/4 cup)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dill weed
1 package of ranch dry dressing
2 12 oz packages oyster crackers

Mix first 4 ingredients together and pour over oyster crackers. Toss and let set for about an hour, making sure to toss every 15 minutes. Crackers will absorb oil. Store in ziplock bags.

Yep, that’s it.
