Better Than Sex Cake

Posted on July 12, 2007. Filed under: cake, chocolate, dessert |

Today I had a slice of chocolate coconut cream cheesecake with an evilly rich chocolate crust, two coconut-fillings, and whipped cream on top.  It was, obviously, delicious.  It was also from The Cheesecake Factory, and I don’t have the recipe.

I do have the recipe for Better Than Sex Cake, however, and it’s equally yummy.  And yes, that’s what it’s really called.

1 box German chocolate cake mix

1 can sweetened condensed milk

1 C caramel ice cream topping

1 8 oz tub whipped topping

3 Heath or Skor bars crushed, or a bag of Heath bits

Bake cake according to directions on package for 9 x 13 pan.
When you remove it from the oven, let the cake cool slightly (10-15 min.) use the end of a wooden spoon and poke holes in the cake.

Pour the can of condensed milk slowly over the top – basically working to fill holes.
After that has soaked in some, pour the caramel over the same way.

Refrigerate until cooled.  Then frost with Cool Whip and sprinkle with crushed candy bars.

Store in refrigerator.

I made this for an open house at work this year (nothing lures people like fattening food), and inexplicably couldn’t find German chocolate cake mix.  Devil’s Food works just as well.
